More Frontliners Needed

A number of measures have been taken to safeguard the well-being of frontliners, capacity at the National Isolation Centre, country's preparation in addressing the second wave of COVID-19 and advice to affected local companies.

The Minister of Health advised members of the public to be patient during COVID-19 vaccination and swab test as the number of people who wish to get said services is high. Touching on the number of frontliners needed, Yang Berhormat explained that more healthcare volunteers is needed in light of the situation. The Ministry of Health will also transfer active cases with light symptoms to other locations if the National Isolation Centre capacity is full. In addressing the second wave of infection, a number of preparations have been made by the government, and cooperation from all parties is highly needed.

Meanwhile, the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy during the question and answer session shared that as of 4:00 PM, yesterday afternoon, the COVID-19 Relief Fund has collected over 77 thousand dollars. Touching on affected local companies, Yang Berhormat advised the said companies to retain their current staff.
