The Ministry of Health play a vital role in its efforts to curb the Covid-19 outbreak in the country. With the unceasing efforts of some officials and staff of the Ministry of Health, the Emergency Operations Centre has its own strategies in addressing the current situation faced by the country.
According to the Acting Director of Administration and Finance as the Head of the Emergency Operations Centre Secretariat, Ministry of Health in an interview, the centre plays a role as the secretariat in coordinating with several government agencies such as the National Disaster Management Council, Royal Brunei Police Force, Royal Brunei Armed Forces and related agencies. The centre also plays its part in coordinating with hospitals and related health centres including volunteers who wish to contribute to the country during the current situation.
The Health Advise Line 148 of the Ministry of Health also plays a part in providing any information and advice to the public who is in need of advice on the development of COVID-19 situation in the country. Since its establishment until today, more than one thousand calls have been received.
The Ministry of Health and related agencies will continue to provide their services in curbing the outbreak in the country. Members of the public are advised to give their cooperation and obey every order issued by the Ministry of Health so that the efforts put in so far is worth it and pray that the situation that is currently affecting the world will gradually recover.
