The Ministry of Energy will focus on production from several large-scale projects, including Brunei Fertilizer Industries; Oil Refinery and Petrochemical Plant at Pulau Muara Besar; and Natural Liquefied Gas. The matter was shared by the Minister of Energy during the Dialogue or Muzakarah Session between the Ministry of Energy and Members of the Legislative Council 2022. The Dialogue Session took place yesterday morning at the Prime Minister's Office. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mat Suny bin Haji Md Hussien also explained, such positive developments have increased the added value of the oil and gas industry as well as the economic progress of the country.

The Minister said one of the main achievements of the Ministry is in further diversifying the energy sector which includes the oil and gas industry towards supporting efforts to improve the country's economic sustainability. The development of the downstream energy industry has been the main focus of the Ministry in increasing the diversity of the country's export products.

The Dialogue Session is hoped to serve as a platform for open discussion between the two sides to develop the energy sector in the country. Also present was Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, Deputy Minister of Energy.
