The empowerment of the use of Malay language was among those discussed during the Malay Language Forum in conjunction with the 38th National Day Anniversary. The virtual forum was organised by the Language and Literature Bureau.

Awang Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab, Acting Director of Language and Literature Bureau, in his welcoming speech, stressed the need for proactive measures to be taken to strengthen the role of Malay language to always be a reference for the global community in various fields. Participating in the forum was Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Youth, Culture and Sports. Facilitated by 3 panel members, the forum among others discussed the role of youths as a pillar of the country’s future in the development of the nation and country.
