The Love Al-Quran Programme can instil awareness not only among children, but also to the Muslim ummah as reading the Quran is equally important as performing the prayer and giving alms. Speaking at the Love Al-Quran Programme Certificate Presentation Ceremony, the Minister of Religious Affairs was pleased that the programme can attract not only parents and guardians of orphans and unprivileged children, but also among village residents. The programme was organised by the Panchor Mengkubau National Housing Scheme Village Consultative Council with the cooperation of the Al-Huffaz Management. The ceremony took place yesterday morning at the Islamic Da'wah Centre.
According to Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awang Badarudin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Awang Othman, the programme is the success of the Panchor Mengkubau National Housing Scheme Village Consultative Council, parents and guardians for their continuous support for their children's success in the future.
16 people took part in the programme which took place since last April. It was among the initiative to give village residents the opportunity to further improve their Al-Quran learning. Also present was Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Mohamed bin Pengiran Haji Osman, Member of the Legislative Council; Awang Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd. Salleh, Director of the Islamic Da'wah Centre; and Awang Hj Mohammad Loqman Al-Hakim bin Hj Hamdan, Chief Executive Officer of Al-Huffaz Management.
