The afternoon session approved the budget allocated to the Ministry of Health. Before the approval, the meeting heard a presentation on the proposed budget for the Ministry. In his opening statement, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister Of Health explained that strengthening the health system which has been impacted by COVID-19 will be the Ministry's main focus because it is the pillar of Lifelong Health Service's continuity.

The focus of the Ministry's Budget for Financial Year 2022/2023 is emphasising and improving the main values and activities or core business of the Ministry of Health. These cover aspects of patient's treatment, prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases and delivery of the best service to the public inline with the implementation of an initiative under the Ministry of Health's Strategic Plan 2019-2023. The theme of the 2022 2023 Budget is a dynamic and resilient health system. To achieve the aspiration, priority and emphasis are given the delivery of the best, professional and sustainable services. This includes making more strategic investment in building capacity, professionalism and skills at the Ministry of Health.
