Two members of the Brunei Darussalam Girl Guides Association will attend the Juliette Low Seminar which carries the theme 'tackling gender barriers to leadership'. The seminar is held in Bangkok, Thailand. The delegation left the country on 13th November afternoon.
Present at Brunei International Airport to bid farewell was Dayang Hajah Siti Hafsah binti Haji Abdul Halim, Chief Commissioner of the association. Dayang Nurul Wafaa binti Haji Mohammad, Equipment Secretary of the association and Dayangku Nurul Azimah binti Pengiran Haji Seruji, Leader of Sayyidina Husain Secondary School are taking part in the seminar which is held until the 20th of this month.
More than 500 young women between the ages of 20 to 30 from 20 countries are taking part in the seminar. The seminar is hoped to assist the association members to diversify non-formal education programmes. The two members will held a project involving 100 children and female teenagers in leadership training upon their return.
