During the Summit, the Leaders supported the strengthening of ASEAN-Russia engagements in ensuring the effective implementation of post-pandemic recovery strategies. In this regard, the Leaders encouraged the enhancement of cooperation in cybersecurity, maritime connectivity, digital technology, smart cities, science, technology and innovation, and disaster management.
The Leaders also welcomed Russia's efforts in response to the COVID-19 pandemic through the distribution of the "Sputnik V" vaccine and training of health experts. At the end of the Summit, the Statement of ASEAN and the Russian Federation on Cooperation on Cooperation against Illicit Drugs Trafficking; the Joint Statement of the 4th ASEAN-Russia Summit: Building a Peaceful, Stable and Sustainable Region; and the Comprehensive Plan of Action (CPA) to Implement the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the Russian Federation Strategic Partnership (2021-2025) were adopted.
