Latest on COVID-19 Situation in Brunei Darussalam

1 new imported COVID-19 case was recorded yesterday. The Ministry of Health in its press release stated that the total number of COVID-19 cases in Brunei Darussalam has increased to 339. Case 339 is a 26-year-old woman who arrived in the country from Manila on 21st July 2021. She does not have signs of infection and contact tracing for this case has found no close contacts.

 

Meanwhile, 52 active cases are currently being treated at the National Isolation Centre and all are in a stable condition.

 

The last local COVID-19 case was reported on the 6th of May 2020. Meanwhile, the number of imported cases since the last local infection is 198.

 

530 people are undergoing mandatory self-isolation; while 22,958 people have completed their Mandatory Self Isolation since March 2020.

 

338 samples of SARS Co-V-Two virus test were carried out, bringing the total number of lab tests conducted since January 2020 to 154,142.
