Carrying the theme "Memperkasakan Bahasa Melayu" or Empowering Malay Language, this year's Language Month Celebration will be held today, 6th July via hybrid. The celebration will held physically at the Language and Literature Bureau in Berakas. Meanwhile the virtual celebration will be using the Zoom App and Facebook Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka Brunei. Various activities are lined up and will be held until June 2023. The Acting Director of Language and Literature shared the matter in an interview with RTB.

Awang Suip Bin Haji Abdul Wahab said a new activity towards elevating and strengthening the Malay language in conjunction with the Language Month Celebration 2022 will be held, namely Wira Bahasa Award Presentation. The award is the highest award specifically in the field of Malay Language and Literature in the country. The award will be given and implemented in early 2023
