The community needs to be more creative in empowering the Malay language in facing the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. The vibrancy of the Industrial Revolution and the impact of COVID-19 have changed a lot of the human lifestyle with a new normal. However, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports said that this does not mean that the community needs to change the culture and the use of Malay language.

It is also not a barrier to learning foreign languages because knowledge is largely sourced from foreign languages. Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad also suggested that the community should wisely utilise knowledge and technological sophistication in addition to filtering cultures that are in line with the country's philosophy so that the country's identity is maintained and preserved. Therefore, the Malay language is important to continue to be dignified and empowered by organising various initiatives and activities using a whole of nation approach.

Yang Berhormat said in order to continue empowering the Malay Language, the country's people should look forward by strengthening the policy gazetted in the Brunei Constitution 1959, circulars, legislation and Malay Language empowerment programmes so that the official language continues to be used and practised by all levels of society in Brunei Darussalam and remains a highly knowledgeable world language.

Yang Berhormat stated the matter at the Language Month 2022 Celebration, yesterday morning. The Language Month 2022 still maintains last year's theme, which is "Empowering the Malay Language". This year's Language Month Celebration was held hybridly, at the Language and Literature Bureau in Berakas.
