London: King Charles and Keir Starmer welcomed Qatar’s emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, for a state visit to Britain on Tuesday. The visit is anticipated to strengthen ties and build on the Gulf state’s investment in the United Kingdom, a goal that the prime minister is keenly focused on.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the emir and his wife, Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, arrived by car at Horse Guards Parade in London. They were accompanied by Prince William and his wife, Kate, who was marking her return to formal state visit duties after undergoing preventative chemotherapy for cancer. The visit highlights the importance of diplomatic relations between the two nations, with significant economic and political implications anticipated as discussions unfold.
