​The Bersuruh Diraja delegation led by Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Digadong Sahibul Mal Pengiran Muda Haji Jefri Bolkiah then proceeded to Istana Nurul Iman. The Majlis Istiadat Bersuruh Diraja or Royal Bersuruh Ceremony took place at the Balai Persantapan. Duli Yang Teramat Mulia and delegation were greeted on arrival by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Penggawa Laila Bentara Istiadat Diraja Dalam Istana Pengiran Haji Alauddin; Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Maharaja Diraja Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Wahab; Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Penyurat Awang Maidin; Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Penyurat Haji Awang Osman; and Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Bendahari Haji Awang Abu Bakar.

The ceremony began with Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Adanan seeking consent to inform Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz that the Majlis Istiadat Bersuruh Diraja was in place to proceed.

Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan sought consent to seek an audience with His Majesty and inform His Majesty that the Majlis Istiadat Bersuruh Diraja was in place to proceed.

The ceremony followed with the arrival of His Majesty. Accompanying His Majesty were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince; His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik; His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen; His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah; and Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Digadong Sahibul Mal Pengiran Muda Haji Jefri Bolkiah.

His Majesty then proceeded to the designated seat. This was followed by the placement of the Dian, Tikar and Bintang Petian before His Majesty. Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan then sought consent and informed Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris that the Majlis Istiadat Bersuruh Diraja was ready.

Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib in turn informed His Majesty that the ceremony was ready to proceed.

After His Majesty signalled the ceremony to proceed, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Maharaja Setia Laila Diraja Sahibul Irshad Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Rahim sought consent to seek an audience with His Majesty. Duli Yang Teramat Mulia sought consent to seek an audience with His Majesty and conveyed his intention.

His Majesty then delivered a Titah accepting the intention of Duli Yang Teramat Mulia. Duli Yang Teramat Mulia then thanked His Majesty for his consent and acceptance. Doa selamat was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan then sought consent to inform Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib that the Majlis Istiadat Bersuruh Diraja had been duly carried out.

Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib then informed His Majesty that the Majlis Istiadat Bersuruh Diraja had been duly carried out.

His Majesty signalled for the royal ceremony to be brought to a close. His Majesty then departed the ceremony, along with other members of the royal family. Among those present at the ceremony were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-Pengiran Cheteria, Cabinet Ministers, Members of Councils, Deputy Ministers, Pengiran-Pengiran Peranakan, Pehin-Pehin Manteri, Manteri-Manteri Pedalaman, Heads of Diplomatic Missions, Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Department.
