?Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab-Rahaman in a sabda stressed that countries, governments and leaders must continue to aim to achieve equity in education despite complex challenges and barriers, such as language, location, and various other limitations. Her Royal Highness made the sabda during the Opening Ceremony of the 20th International School Brunei, ISB Borneo Global Issues Conference, BGIC 2024. Organised by ISB with conference partners, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Education, the conference was held at the International Convention Centre in Berakas, 25th October morning.
Upon arrival, Her Royal Highness was greeted by Dominic Morley, ISB Executive Principal and Chief Executive Officer.
In an opening address, the Executive Principal and Chief Executive Officer of ISB among others said that the conference provides a multitude of engaging educational experiences beyond the classroom.

dents, BGIC 2024 aimed at the development of students’ understanding of global citizenship and critical skills in research, public speaking and negotiation. The keynote addresses of the conference’s theme ‘Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education were delivered by guest speakers, Doctor Stuart Lawrence, and Ms. Linda Cruse.
In a sabda, Her Royal Highness underlined that all countries should remain committed to collective action and promoting quality education for all children.
Her Royal Highness also highlighted that by ensuring schools provide an enabling and empowering learning environment, teachers can apply innovative approaches, and encourage students to be critical thinkers, active learners and caring global citizens.
Her Royal Highness presented certificates of participation to representatives from 23 schools, and mementos to sponsors and supporters of the event. Her Royal Highness also received a Pesambah.
