The issue pertaining to zakat or tithe theoretically and practically as well as the results of research and studies related to tithe as and solutions presentation towards related issues were among the matters that will be discussed in the presentation of more than 20 working papers during the International Conference on Fiqh Al-Zakat Education, PAP FIZ. The 2-day conference will take place this Saturday at the Dewan Musyawarah, International Convention Centre in Berakas. The matter was stated during the Press Conference at the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB, yesterday morning.

Doctor Haji Norlizam Bin Haji Aliakbar, the Dean of Faculty of Syariah, KUPU SB as Co-Chairman of PAP FIZ said that it acts as a platform to disseminate knowledge as well as exchange information and experience, to be applied in the development of Islamic Economy through tithe. The conference carries the theme 'Memperkasa Sosio Ekonomi Umat Islam Melalui Zakat' or Empowering the Muslim Ummah Socio-Economy Through Tithe. Several resolutions will be presented by the working papers' presenters from local and abroad during the closing ceremony.

The International Conference on Fiqh Al-Zakat Education, jointly organised by KUPU SB and the Brunei Islamic Religious Council aimed to empower and uphold the status of tithe at the local, national and global levels. Members of the public are welcomed to attend the conference by complying with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health and wear appropriate attire at the conference.
