After being postponed for 2 years following the COVID-19 pandemic, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented for the implementation of the Haj and Umrah this year. His Majesty's care and attentiveness were clearly seen when the Monarch received in audience and Junjung Ziarah from the country's intending pilgrim's yesterday afternoon.

Intending pilgrims arrived at Istana Nurul Iman at 10:30 in the morning for registration. Earlier, they were required to perform ART, scan the BruHealth QR code and underwent temperature checks. After registration, the intending pilgrims were served lunch.

Prior to the audience ceremony and Junjung Ziarah, the intending pilgrims performed the mass Fardhu Zuhur prayer. While waiting for the Junjung Ziarah, they were placed in a comfortable waiting room.

The government is highly attentive towards the welfare and well-being of citizens and residents, including new converts, in providing the haj fare for them.

Performing the haj is more advantageous when it is done at a young age.

After the Junjung Ziarah with His Majesty, male intending pilgrims were given Ihram clothes while women intending pilgrims received the 'telekung' or female prayer attire as a symbol of His Majesty's care towards the Monarch's subjects.
