Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism in his adjournment speech outlined that the Ministry in collaboration with operators will continue to further enhance domestic products not only to achieve full self-sufficiency, but also to fulfil food manufacturing sector and export demands.

Aside from that, efforts to boost the involvement of Direct Foreign Investments and Government Linked Companies, GLCs in together contributing towards increasing yield from the agriculture and fisheries sectors will also be continued. This is aside from continuing to encourage the relevant entrepreneurs and farmers to use modern techniques and technology, targeting export market as well as meeting local demands and practicing good governance.
