Improve the Quality of Reading and Memorising of Al-Qur’an

Discipline, istiqamah in maintaining memorisation and intention solely for Allah is one of the secrets of the success of the participants of the final of the National Level Musabaqah Memorisation of Al-Qur'an and its Understanding recently. The success was a motivation for the participants to further improve the quality of their reading and memorisation.

The winner of category A in the competition, Dayang Amal 'Aziyah binti Muhamad Saiful Ashren has been practising the routine of memorizing Al-Quran since she was 5 years old. The 9-year-old student from Al-Falah School, Sungai Akar has memorized Surah An-Nabaa to Surah An-Nas.

Awang Abdul Matin bin Zulnorein, took advantage of the time after performing the fardhu prayers to memorise the Quran and its understanding. With a high desire and love for Al-Quran, apart refraining from eating snacks to help strengthen memory, are among the secrets of the success of the 13-year-old, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic School student.

Realising the many benefits of memorising Al-Qur'an for life in the world and the hereafter, has encouraged Awang Ahmad Darwish bin Hamdan to become a memoriser of Al-Qur'an. The 16-year-old student of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute said the success achieved is not a reason for him to be proud of himself, instead he will always repeat the memorisations so that the word of Allah continues to flourish in himself.

For Dayang Dalili Bazilah binti Haji Jailani, participating in the competition is a way to test her ability to memorise Al-Quran. The second of 5 siblings said that memorizing Al-Quran is not easy and has many challenges. But as long as there is effort, it will be easy.

While Dayang Dalili Faiqah binti Nasaruddin who won Category E shared that to memorise Al-Quran effectively, it starts with a solid and orderly external and internal preparation so that the objective of preserving Al-Quran can be achieved.
