The Royal Brunei Air Force’s, C-295MW, Transport Aircraft commenced its second day of Humanitarian and Disaster Relief HADR mission by conducting its first flight yesterday morning, delivering 3.4 tonnes of tarpaulin sheets to aid the affected victims.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the cargo was flown from Col Jesus Villamor Air Base, Manila to Bicol International Airport, Luzon, Republic of the Philippines, before being distributed to the affected areas. Two scheduled flights could not be carried out due to unfavourable weather conditions, 29th October 2024.
The Air Logistics Support efforts will continue tomorrow, however, subject to weather conditions. Meanwhile, the second Royal Brunei Armed Forces HADR Team will depart tomorrow using two Royal Brunei Air Force Blackhawk S-70I Helicopters.
