The Hijrah New Year Celebration continue to be held by various parties in the country. The Ministry of Defence and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF held such a ceremony on 5th August morning. The celebration was held at all suraus of the RBAF Camp and Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque with the main focus was at the Ad- Difa' Surau, Bolkiah Garrison.
Present were Retired Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir, Deputy Minister of Defence and Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of RBAF. The ceremony commenced with the reading of Al-Quran verses, followed by a special talk titled "Bersabar, Berikhtiar, Berdoa dan Bertawakkal Menghadapi Ujian: Memacu Wawasan Negara".
