The Australian Government donated personal protective equipment, PPE's and RT-PCR COVID-19 test kits to assist Brunei Darussalam in curbing COVID-19. The contributions arrived in the country yesterday.
Present at the Brunei International Airport for the handover of contributions were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd.Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs on behalf of the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and Her Excellency Tiffany Anne McDonald, High Commissioner of Australia to Brunei Darussalam as the representative of the Australian Government. Australia continues to extend COVID-19 assistance to the country, such as the COVID-19 laboratory equipment to the Royal Brunei Armed Forces for the Medical Reception Station in Bolkiah Garrison, and 100,000 doses of AstraZeneca Australian manufactured vaccines on the 17th of September.
