Haj Pilgrim Quota Is Back To 1,000 People

The quota for Brunei Darussalam Haj pilgrims for the 2023 Haj Season is 1,000 pilgrims, similar to the original quota during the 2019 Haj season before the COVID-19 pandemic.

The announcement was made by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in a press release after a meeting on Brunei Darussalam Haj Pilgrims Affairs Management for this year's Haj season that was held via online on the 27th of December, the Haj and Umrah Conference and Exhibition, and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Haj Management for Brunei Darussalam Haj pilgrims this year.

There is no age limit for Brunei Darussalam Haj pilgrims who are selected to perform haj this year. Every haj pilgrim must complete the COVID-19 vaccination apart from other vaccinations that often taken before leaving for the Holy Land. Meanwhile, the Haj Management Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs have and is actively making preparations for sending the country's Haj pilgrims for this year's Haj season. Medical check for intending pilgrims will begin on the 24th of January, while Haj courses will be held starting the 27th of January until the 5th of March 2023 on every Friday and Sunday.
