The Haj and Umrah Course for Brunei Darussalam intending haj pilgrims started simultaneously at the four districts, 27th January. The Haj Management Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs through Haj and Umrah Guidance held such a course to strengthen the intending haj pilgrims understanding throughout their stay in the holy land.

Among the designated centre for the course in Brunei Muara District is Lambak Kanan Religious Hall in RPN Lambak Kanan. The participants learned on the obligatory practices and pillars of Haj. The course held every Friday and Sunday from 8 to 10 in the morning, will end on 5th March.

In Belait District, the course is held at Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Religious School in Kuala Belait and Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Religious School in Seria. Throughout the course, the participants will be brief on pillars of Haj by theory and practical.

Meanwhile in Tutong District, the course centre is at Pengiran Anak Puteri Norain Religious School. On the first week of the course, the intending pilgrims will be taught on the definition of Haj, the obligation of haj as well as the mandatory conditions to perform haj and umrah.

Whereas in Temburong District, the course is held at Arabic Preparatory School. Participants are explained with several important aspects related to ibadah or act worship that need to be emphasised, including mental and physical preparations that can bring a positive impact on the personality and peace of mind of a Muslim.
