10 babies were born on the 1st of Muharram 1444 Hijrah in the country, in which 9 babies were in the Brunei Muara District and 1 baby in the Belait District. A Gift Presentation Ceremony to the Newborn babies was held on 30th July. At the Women and Children Centre of the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital, the gifts were presented by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs and Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office as the Acting of Minister of Health and also in his capacity as Chairman of the Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei, TAIB Board of Directors. The gifts were donations from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Perbadanan TAIB and Syarikat Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sdn. Bhd.

Meanwhile, in the Belait District, the ceremony was held at the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital, Kuala Belait. The gift was presented by Dr. Dayang Hajah Anie Haryani binti Hj Abdul Rahman, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Management at the Ministry of Health.
