Get-Together Ceremony with Citizens and Residents

People from all walks of life flooded the capital this morning to greet His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam during the Get-Together Ceremony with citizens and residents in the Brunei Muara District in conjunction with His Majesty’s 76th Birthday celebration. Brunei Muara was the third district to welcome His Majesty for the much awaited event this year. It took place at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien.

Students waving miniature flags lined up the route to the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien.

Upon arriving, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister Home Affairs as Chairman of the National Committee for the 76th Royal Birthday Celebration.

Also in attendance were His Majesty’s sons and brothers;

– His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office;

– His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik;

– His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen;

– His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah;

– His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah;

– His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah.

With the concept, “Kepimpinan Raja Bijaksana Membina Peradaban Bangsa” or A Wise Monarch’s Leadership Builds Nation’s Civilisation, the special performance themed “Raja untuk Rakyat dan Rakyat untuk Raja” or Monarch for the People and People for the Monarch, was interpreted through songs, dance and sketches performed by two hundred participants.

The climax of the special performance was an expression of the people’s gratitude and tribute to His Majesty’s reign.

Before the get-together ceremony with citizens and residents in the Brunei Muara District, His Majesty mingled with the performers.
