The Ministry of Education and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, ASEAN are implementing several initiatives to address the issue of the pandemic's impact on education and training. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman, Minister of Education shared the initiative during the G20 Education Ministers' Meeting held virtually, 22nd June night.

At the meeting, Yang Berhormat also expressed his congratulations on the success of the Italian leadership in the meetings and supported the G20 Education Ministers' Declaration in the field of Education. The G-20 is an international forum that brings together the world's major economies and meets annually. As the Chairman of ASEAN this year, Brunei Darussalam is the special guest of the Republic of Italy as the President of G20, 2021.
