Muslims should prepare themselves spiritually, including enhancing Acts of Worship such as performing commendable or sunat fasts, increasing sunat prayers, reading of Al-Quran, Zikir, I'tikaf and qiamulail, before the arrival of Ramadhan Al-Mubarak. The Friday Sermon highlighted that as Ramadhan approaches, Muslims need to deepen their religious knowledge, especially in matters pertaining to the fast, including the rulings and etiquettes of fasting.

The Imam or Prayer Leader said those who have not fully qada' or replaced the missed fasting days in Ramadhan last year, they must take the opportunity to fast in the month of Syaaban so as not to be affected from paying fidyah. Fidyah is an expiation payment levied in someone who does not fast in Ramadhan for legitimate reasons or procrastinating to make up missed Ramadhan fasts until the next Ramadhan sets in. Therefore, in conjunction with the upcoming month of Ramadhan, the Muslims ummah are urged to multiple their deeds and seeks Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala's blessings.
