Forum ‘COVID Oh COVID’: Adapting Children to New Norms

More than 1,000 individuals comprising students, teachers and the public joined the 'COVID OH COVID: Adapting Children to New Norms' forum in conjunction with World Children's Day 2021 celebration. As an interactive activity for children, the forum aimed to explore the feelings of children during the pandemic and how they go about their daily stay-at-home activities and helping the government to formulate strategies towards improving policies and programmes for the children's well-being in the new normal.

Also joining the forum was Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and Yang Berhormat Khairunnisa binti Haji Ash'ari, Members of the Legislative Council. The Forum was conducted by Pengiran Salimatul Sa'ada binti Pengiran Mohd Saleh, Educational Psychology Officer, Special Education Department as the Moderator, while the panellists comprised of school students. It was jointly organised by the Brunei Youth Council and Department of Community Development with the support of the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Religious Affairs. This year's forum carries the theme, 'Unite to Reverse the Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Children'
