Guidance for locals who would like to engage in business and the assessment needed towards the financial allocation use were among the issues raised by Members of the Legislative Council among Persons Who Have Achieved Distinction.

Yang Berhormat Dayang Hajah Safiah binti Sheikh Haji Abd Salam shared a similar view adding the Effectiveness and Efficiency of the use of the Financial Allocation should be evaluated through the Key Performance Index, KPI.

Meanwhile Yang Berhormat Dr Awang Haji Mahali bin Haji Momin said all the people especially members of the civil service are also excited that the National Budget theme will be able to increase efforts to change work routine or business as usual towards achieving the theme's objective.

Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Salleh Bostaman bin Haji Zainal Abidin said Foreign Direct Investment, FDI should complement and supplement our present strength or can enhance or upgrade it so that we can achieve Wawasan 2035. The FDIs' focus should target achieving food security, halal Brunei brand and tourism that will generate many jobs and a new revenue stream.

Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Isa bin Pengiran Haji Aliuddin stressed that less fortunate locals who understand little about starting a business should be given attention and helped until they succeed not just by guiding but also leading them towards success.
