His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al- Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah has consented to the amendment of the Constitutional Financial Procedure Order, Amendment 2022 and Financial regulations 2022 which will be enforced on the 1st of April 2022.

In the titah at the Official Opening Ceremony of the First Meeting of the 18th Legislative Council Session, yesterday morning, His Majesty also touches on several matters related to initiatives from His Majesty's Government for the welfare of the people and country. These include, the Employee Trust Fund, TAP Scheme, Roadmap in the 12th National Development Plan, food security, price monitoring, Foreign Direct Investment Project as well as efforts to increase self-sufficiency in the agriculture, agri-food, fisheries and livestock sectors.

In the titah, the Monarch underscored that the Legislative Council is a strategic platform to deliberate on matters for the well-being of the people and country. This year's meeting, His Majesty says in the titah, will deliberate on the Supply Bill 2022 to 2023 which has been reviewed by the relevant ministries in the National Budget Committee Meeting. Therefore, His Majesty stresses that all projects listed certainly uphold the strategic plans of every relevant ministry and department.
