Despite recording an increase in COVID-19 cases in the weekly period, the country is still in the same wave where there are low number of cases in Category 4 and 5.

According to the Minister of Health, various efforts and preparations have been implemented by the government before transitioning to the endemic phase. This includes the National Vaccination Programme and provide antiviral medicines to reduce severe symptoms that can strain the country's health system.
