The Minister of Health also shared on the information of the distribution of dry food aid to those undergoing isolation at home during the current increase in COVID-19 cases.

Since the second wave began in early August 2021 to 14th of March 2022, food aid has been distributed to 54,393 households in the four districts to meet the needs of a total of 281,214 people. The efficiency in delivery of the food aid on 14th of March 2022 has increased from 87.5 percent to 98.6 percent compared to the previous week. In the period between 5th of March to 14th of March, the total delivery of food aid was 17,410 houses, which is for the needs of 91,770 people.

The increase in the effectiveness of food aid distribution is the result of cooperation and integrated actions in a 'Whole of Nation approach' involving government agencies, the private sector and volunteers where the delivery capacity of food aid from the Food Aid Distribution Centers throughout the country has been successfully enhanced to 2,000 homes per day. This is to achieve the goal so that those who request for food aid will be able to receive it within 24 hours after the application is received.
