The placement of young imam or prayer leaders among students of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute at several mosques to lead the Sunat Tarawih Prayer is an early exposure to them to constantly preserve memorisation and build self-confidence. At the same time, it can indirectly attracts more congregants to perform the Sunnat Terawih Prayer.

This year, 67 Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute students were assigned to lead Tarawih prayer in 76 mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide. The involvement of the students in leading the Sunat Tarawih Prayer boosts their spirit in a better direction, especially in memorising Al-Quran.

The graduates of the Tahfiz Institute described the opportunity as further strengthening the memorisation of Al-Qurannul Kareem.

The placement of the students as tarawih prayer leaders received positive response from the mosque congregants.
