As of 9th February 2023, the Department of Immigration and National Registration will implement the electronic arrival information registration for foreign nationals known as the E-Arrival Card to replace the Disembarkation Form currently being used. Registration via E-Arrival Card is required for all foreign nationals entering Brunei Darussalam via the immigration control posts either by sea, air or land as allocated under Regulation 29 (2), Immigration Regulations while the E-Arrival Card registration is not required if they are only in transit at Brunei International Airport or Port of Entry in Brunei Darussalam to continue their travels to the next destination without entering Brunei Darussalam.

The E-Arrival Card registration can be accessed through the Department of Immigration and National Registration website, www.imm.gov.bn, and the information must be completed correctly before the date of arrival to Brunei Darussalam. To ensure a smooth registration process, foreign nationals are urged to register early prior to arriving in Brunei Darussalam. The documents needed for the E-Arrival Card registration are a valid travel document or passport, address while in Brunei Darussalam and flight information or vehicle used.

In this regard, the Department of Immigration and National Registration stresses on the following matters: the E-Arrival Card is not a visa or pass. Visas or passes must be applied separately depending on current requirements. The approval of the E-Arrival Card registration is not an absolute approval for entry into Brunei Darussalam and is still subject to further inspection upon arriving in Brunei Darussalam. No charges will be imposed for the E-Arrival Card registration. The Department of Immigration and National Registration has not appointed any individuals or commercial entities to impose payment charges for the E-Arrival Card registration. For further information, e-mail info@immigration.gov.bn or WhatsApp hotline 6737299550.
