After assessments and research were made, the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunication informed applicants aged 70 to 85 are now given the option to renew their driving license for a period of 1 year, 3 years or 5 years. Applicants only need to complete the Personal Health Declaration Form provided when renewing a Driving License.

Meanwhile for applicants aged 86 and above, they can renew their Class 3 Driving License for a period of one year only by enclosing a Medical Certificate certified by a registered and accredited Medical Practitioner.
