In an effort to alleviate the burden of victims of the recent fires, the Brunei Islamic Religious Council handed over the Distribution of Tithe Money to the house fire victims in Kampung Batu Marang and Kampung Serdang. The donation presentation ceremony took place yesterday afternoon at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

At the ceremony, ten fire victims, namely 3 fire victims in Kampung Batu Marang and 7 fire victims in Kampung Serdang received the Distribution of Tithe Money in the form of cash amounting to $2,000. The donation was handed over by Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sabtu, Assistant Secretary of the Brunei Islamic Religious Council. The distribution of money was taken from the allocation of the Poor and Destitute Asnaf Tithe Money. The house fires occurred on 26th of May and 3rd of June.
