The dissemination briefing on the Old Age Pensions and Disability Allowance Act, Amendment 2021 and the Disabled Persons Order, 2021 to Penghulus and Village heads nationwide continued yesterday. The briefing aimed to provide a detailed understanding to the Penghulus and Village Heads on the two Act Amendments specifically in giving attention and priority to the welfare and well-being of senior citizens and the differently abled in the country.

In Belait District, the briefing which took place at The Belait District Office Meeting Room was delivered by Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin Binti Haji Johari, Permanent Secretary for Community and Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Meanwhile, the briefing for Tutong District was held at the District Officer's Official Residence. Also present at the two briefings were members of Legislative Council. The dissemination on the Acts will continue to be extended to stakeholders in the four districts.
