Touching on Broadband usage, Yang Berhormat explained that according to statistics recorded by AITI, the rate of broadband users increased in 2021 compared to the previous year. Thus the UNN providers have carried out several efforts to improve operations among them improving speed and additional telecommunications infrastructure.

To maintain the digital technology usage momentum inline with technological progress, Brunei Darussalam has also made preparations for 5G service apart from MTIC infrastructure provisions through AITI, conducting facilitating efforts through provision of spectrum frequency for 5G technology and reviewing all regulations and legislations under AITI related to 5G service provision, managing trials for 5G technology and carrying out human resource capacity building programmes towards 5G technology as of March 2022 until June 2022.
