As a measure to improve the service continuously, the Minister of Transport and Infocommunication informed about several renewal among others introducing the Digital License method in the TransportBN application to replace the use of SMS previously. The Digital License can be accessed online through a mobile phone application and it contains information on the details of the driver and vehicle.

Among the information is the driving license class, vehicle owner and the validity period of the license for each vehicle and the validity period of the driving license class for each driver. Users need to register an account in e-Darussalam. For those who already have an e-Darussalam account, they only need a Smart Identity Card number and e-Darussalam password to perform business services by single sign on. Color codes are also used to indicate the license status, namely Green Color Code for valid driving license, Yellow Color Code for the license validity period of 30 days from the expiry date and Red Color Code for the expired driving license.

The public can also use the ‘Search’ feature through TransportBN or the Land Transport Department’s website www.jpd.gov.bn/lesen to find out the status and validity period of driving licenses and vehicle licenses without having an e-Darussalam account. The public can also print the digital driving and vehicle licenses by selecting ‘PDF’ on TransportBN. More information on the Digital License will be shared by the Department of Land Transport in the near future. The ‘NomborKu’ service is also an additional feature in TransportBN to enable the public to find out the list of vehicle registration numbers that can be applied through the Open Offer.
