Courtesy Call

Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen the existing bilateral defence and military relations. Both sides also reiterated the intent to enhance cooperation in both defence and military sectors through various bilateral and multilateral platforms. Yesterday morning, Retired Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir, Deputy Minister of Defence received a call from Yang Berhormat Dato' Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Defence of Malaysia. The courtesy call was held at The Empire Brunei.

Both defence and military institutions have collaborated at regional and international operations, specifically under the umbrella of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, UNIFIL and the International Monitoring Team, IMT in Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines. Accompanying Yang Berhormat Minister of Defence of Malaysia was Yang Berbahagia General Dato Paduka Seri Tan Sri Dato' Sri Haji Affendi bin Buang, Chief of Defence Force, Malaysia Armed Forces. During the call, Yang Berhormat Dato' Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan and his delegation was hosted with a Welcoming Lunch by Retired Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abdul Kadir
