Improving the quality of trainers, especially in-company or in-house trainers, is highly needed. Most companies and organisations have quite a number of very skilful and experienced workers in their duties, but are lacking or equipped to be a trainer especially in possessing the pedagogical knowledge to effectively transfer their knowledge and skills to others. The matter was touched during the Certificate Presentation Ceremony of "Training of Trainers TOT Certification, at the SEAMEO VOCTECH Regional Centre, yesterday afternoon.

Speaking at the ceremony, Awang Haji Azhar bin Haji Yahya, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Energy was honoured that the TOT programme is conducted by SEAMEO VOCTECH to facilitate in tackling the lack of qualified trainers. 39 participants received professional certification as certified trainers. The TOT Programme aimed to provide participants with knowledge, skills and attitude to make them competent as well as effectively deliver and facilitate programmes.
