Bandar seri begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, received The Honourable Seah Kian Peng, Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore, in an audience ceremony at Istana Nurul Iman. The ceremony, which occurred on the afternoon of October 9th, was part of a two-day working visit aimed at exploring ways to strengthen collaboration between legislative institutions within ASEAN and to enhance bilateral ties between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the visit included discussions on further strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the Legislative Council of Brunei Darussalam and the Parliament of Singapore. His Majesty congratulated The Honourable Seah Kian Peng on his re-election as Speaker and underscored the importance of mutual understanding in both regional and international contexts.

The event was attended by several notable figures, including Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib, Speaker of the Legislative Council; Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office; and Datin Paduka Dr. Dayang Hajah Huraini binti Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hurairah, Clerk to the Privy Council, Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers’ Council and Clerk to the Legislative Council.
