After the Audience Ceremony, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam proceeded together with His Excellency the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam for a Bilateral Meeting. During the Bilateral Meeting, His Majesty and His Excellency, among other matters, discussed bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam as well as cooperation between both countries, including through the signing of the Plan of Action for the Implementation of the Comprehensive Partnership which will chart the future direction of bilateral relations.

Both leaders also discussed on the exploration of new opportunities for cooperation by both countries.

After the Bilateral Meeting, His Majesty and His Excellency witnessed the signing ceremony of two instruments of understanding between the Government of His Majesty and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, namely: 'Plan of Action for the Implementation of the Comprehensive Partnership between Brunei Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam 2023 - 2027' and 'Exchange of Notes for the Arrangement on Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports'. Signing on behalf of the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs, while the Government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam was represented by His Excellency Bùi Thanh Son, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
