The ASEAN Data Science Explorers 2021 Regional Final was held virtually yesterday, which saw the announcement of respective winners of the competition. Thailand was crowned as the winner while Cambodia and Malaysia were named first and second runner up respectively. This year, Brunei Darussalam was represented by a team of students from Politeknik Brunei.

In the closing remark, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman, Minister of Education applauds ASEAN's commitment in preparing ASEAN youths to be future-ready. Yang Berhormat added that the competition plays an important role in igniting the youth's creative minds in addressing common issues and problem with solutions which are innovative, creative and sustainable.
