Appreciation Ceremony for Excellent Students

The role of education is becoming more challenging and this includes religious education. Related parties in in the field of religious education must prepare to face any forms of challenges especially in ensuring the religious education system remains relevant to meet the needs of the country towards a generation that is knowledgeable and pious. This was underlined by the Minister of Religious Affairs at the Ministry of Religious Affairs' Appreciation Ceremony for Excellent Students at BRIDEX Hall, Jerudong, yesterday morning.

According to Yang Berhormat, the religious education system must always be dynamic, progressive and be prepared to undergo change and renewal processes. Among the challenges include coordinating religious school hours, where the Ministry is currently reviewing and assessing religious school hours. The minister said this initiative is hoped to become an added value that is truly significant in further strengthening and empowering religious education, aside from meeting the needs of all stakeholders that are tailored to the country's requirements.

328 excellent students received appreciation certificate. The ceremony was held as an incentive and motivation to the students to increase their efforts and academic achievements.
