The safety and outcome of patients can be improved with high-quality anaesthetic care. The matter was shared by the Minister of Health at the Opening of “Anaesthesia Conference: Anaesthesia Update 2023", 24th September morning, at a hotel in Jerudong. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar as Executive Director of Jerudong Park Medical Centre, JPMC also touched on the development of the field of anaesthesia in the integration of artificial intelligence and system learning. The technology has opened up new frontiers, helping to predict patients' response to anaesthesia, adjust drug doses and optimize treatment plans.

According to the Minister of Health, a multidisciplinary approach with anaesthetic care protocols helps to improve the recovery of anaesthesia patients as well as provide safe monitoring.

The conference was attended by over 80 people, including healthcare professionals from Brunei Darussalam and neighbouring countries. The event provided an important platform to share valuable insights, and learn about the latest advances and research in anaesthesiology and perioperative care. The conference was organised by JPMC in collaboration with the Brunei Society of Anaesthesiologists.
