The National Disaster Management Centre, NDMC also advised the public to be wary of false messages spread through social media and not to spread them. The Disaster Management Officer said the NDMC will hold several public awareness or disaster advisories to inform the public on flood preparedness.

Awangku Muhammad Naaim Syafii Bin Pengiran Haji Besman, Disaster Management Officer said that the NDMC will work closely with RTB, in promoting the public’s interest in knowing what needs to be done before the monsoon season, such as the transition season of the northeast season. NDMC will also work closely with organizations that hold public awareness. The information that the NDMC provided is accurate and organized and has validity.
