Always Adhering to the Road Traffic Act and Regulations

The community in Temburong District is also involved in the efforts to make Brunei Darussalam as a Smart Nation. This includes the upgrading of the ICT infrastructure and ensure internet connections and services in the country runs smoothly. The Minister of Transport and Infocommunications said in efforts to enhance a more effective management of traffic since the opening of the Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Bridge, the Land Transport Department, JPD, is amking plans with relevant agencies to update the shuttle bus service lanes from Brunei Muara District to Temburong District and in Temburong District itself. In the interview during the Special Programme, Temburong: Green Jewel of Brunei Darussalam', Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof among other matters also explained that in order to ensure the Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Bridge and its surroundings remain safe and in good condition, the Bridge Management Office, BMO is always monitoring via CCTV.

"With the increase in the number of vehicles passing through the roads in Temburong District, I would like to advice the public to enhance their awareness while driving and to obey the speed limits, specifically along the Labu area, and on the roadsides, taking into account the whereabouts of village residents, so that the safety of all road-users is assured. I also urge the public not only in Temburong District but also the whole of Brunei Darussalam to give their solid cooperation in always adhering to the Road Traffic Act and Regulations. Road Safety Is The Responsibility of All."
