Al-Quran Memorisation Competition is one of the initiatives to attract interest towards Al-Quran and encourage love towards the Holy Book. Such a competition was held by the Kampung Panchor Consultative Council at Dato Muhammad Yasin Primary School in Kampung Mentiri, 18th September afternoon.

In attendance was Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. Awang Ahmad Harith Irfan bin Haji Umardani and Dayang Siti Nurashiffa binti Haji Awang Mohammad Eddie Hardey were crowned as champions of the competition. The event also included a tazkirah or short talk that underlined the benefits of Al-Quran and memorising the Holy Book.
