Air Services Agreement

Following His Majesty’s state visit to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, three Memoranda of Understanding, MoUs and an Agreement were signed between the Government of His Majesty and the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, namely: Air Services Agreement, ASA; MoU on the Employment/ Recruitment of Bangladeshi Workers; MoU on the Field of Cooperation in the Supply of Liquified Natural Gas, LNG and other Petroleum Products; and MoU on the Recognition of Certificates Under the Terms of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978, As Amended.

 

For the Air Services Agreement, signing on behalf of the Government of His Majesty was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, while the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh was represented by His Excellency Md. Mahbub Ali, State Minister, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.

 

Under this MoU, Brunei Darussalam and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh agree to establish and operate Air Services between the two countries in recognising the efficient and competitive services, thus enhancing economic growth, trade, tourism, investment and the welfare of consumers as well acknowledging the importance of the service as a means of creating and fostering relations.
